MENA games community infrastructure

The region never lacked talent. It lacked rooms, records, and routes.

Sahure helps build the institutions that let developers gather, players be heard, studios become discoverable, and regional work travel beyond the region.

OFFICIAL UNITY CHAPTER INDEPENDENT MEDIA PRODUCTION BRIDGE REGIONAL MARKET MEMORY

A market becomes an industry when its people can find one another.

Tools solve production. The MENA Playbook solves market entry. Community infrastructure creates continuity: places where knowledge moves, work becomes visible, trust accumulates, and opportunity reaches the right person.

01

A room

Recurring spaces where developers show work, teach techniques, ask for help, and meet studios.

02

A record

Independent reporting, directories, reviews, and primary-source evidence that make the industry legible.

03

A route

Bridges from regional talent and studios to international media, production, partners, and capital.

04

A memory

Every event, article, launch, and collaboration becomes knowledge the ecosystem does not need to relearn.

The community is not the audience after launch. It is part of the operating system before it.

One convenes the builders. One makes the region visible.

Unity User Group Cairo and MENA Gamer solve different sides of the same absence. One creates a recurring room for developers. The other creates an independent public record and discovery layer for the regional industry.

OFFICIAL · FIRST IN MENA 01 / BUILDERS

Unity User Group Cairo

The first official Unity User Group in MENA. Sahure Labs helped establish the chapter and serves as a co-moderator, while the group remains community-owned and supported through Unity's global program.

  • SAHURE LABS · CO-MODERATOR
  • Bilingual, hybrid, and open to developers across the Arab world
  • Meetups, workshops, creator demos, mentorship, jams, and a growing Arabic learning library
PUBLIC LAUNCH · 27 AUGUST 2026 02 / REGION

MENA Gamer

The independent bilingual media and industry gateway for Middle East and North Africa gaming. It works inward for players and outward for the studios, talent, press, and investors trying to understand the region.

  • Arabic and English journalism at equal editorial weight
  • The only review model built around two scores: the game and its Arabic
  • A studio directory, jobs wire, press center, community, and coming talent platform

Different institutions. One compounding motion.

The ecosystem is strongest when each part keeps its own responsibility. Education is not editorial. Editorial is not marketing. Production is not community governance. The value comes from connection without collapsed boundaries.

Unity User Group Cairo

Developers learn, demonstrate, collaborate, and become visible to studios.

RECORD

MENA Gamer

The region documents itself, measures Arabic quality, and maps studios and opportunities.

MENA Playbook

Public market, creator, media, and community signals return to product and launch decisions.

The operating system
Cairo builds the room. Málaga extends the bridge.

A local ecosystem with an international horizon.

Sahure's community layer is rooted in Cairo and connected through its Málaga base, the European games circuit, and specialist partners. The purpose is not to extract regional talent into an ecosystem owned elsewhere. It is to make the regional ecosystem strong enough to publish, hire, negotiate, and collaborate on its own terms.

CAIRO

The physical anchor

Meetups, university links, studio relationships, talent, and direct knowledge of local production reality.

MÁLAGA

The European base

A public digital-content hub and an operating bridge into European studios, institutions, and events.

MEDIA

An independent public record

MENA Gamer separates editorial authority from commercial relationships by charter and disclosure.

Boundaries create trust

Connected by design. Independent where it matters.

A community cannot become a sales list, and a publication cannot become a paid coverage channel. The ecosystem is designed to connect people without turning one institution into another institution's instrument.

Community-owned

The Unity chapter serves its members and operates under a public code of conduct.

Editorially independent

MENA Gamer does not sell coverage or allow commercial relationships to dictate verdicts.

Arabic and English

The region's language is treated as an equal working language, never an afterthought.

Open routes

Knowledge, opportunities, and public resources are built to widen access across the region.

The region's next games industry will not be built by a feed. It will be built by institutions.

Sahure is helping build the rooms, records, and routes that let developers, studios, players, and international partners find one another with trust.
